Echo and Go LLC (“Echo and Go,” “we,” “us”) provides mobile echocardiography in Washington DC, Maryland and Northern Virginia. This policy applies to this website and to messages you send us through it or to info@echoandgo.com. By using the website, you agree to the practices described here.
01Information we collect
Information you give us. When you use the Request a scan form, we collect what you enter: your name, facility or practice, phone number, email address and your message. If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you include in the message.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our hosting provider records basic technical data when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type, device type, the pages you view and the date and time of your visit.
02Patient health information
Please don’t include patient medical details in the website form. The form is meant for general inquiries and scheduling requests only.
Patient orders, insurance details, images and reports that we receive or create in order to perform an echocardiogram are protected health information. We handle that information as required by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and applicable state law. Our Notice of Privacy Practices, available on request, explains how we use, disclose and protect it.
03How we use information
We use the information we collect to:
- respond to your request and schedule scans;
- communicate with you, your facility or the ordering provider about a request;
- keep the website working, secure and free of abuse;
- comply with legal, regulatory and professional obligations.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.
04How we share information
We share information only when it is needed to run our service or the law requires it:
- Service providers who host this website or provide our email, under agreements that limit how they can use the information.
- Clinical partners, such as the interpreting cardiologist and the ordering provider, when you ask us to perform a scan.
- Legal requirements, when we must respond to a lawful request, protect our rights or protect someone’s safety.
05Cookies and third-party services
This website does not use advertising or tracking cookies. It loads typefaces from Google Fonts, which means Google receives your IP address and browser information when the page loads. Google’s use of that data is described in the Google Privacy Policy.
If we add tools in the future to understand how visitors use the website, we will update this policy to describe them.
06How long we keep information
We keep inquiry and contact information only for as long as we need it to respond to you, maintain our working relationship and meet our legal obligations. Medical records are kept for the periods required by federal and state law.
07Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards to protect information, including encrypted connections to this website. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, so please don’t send sensitive information through the website form or regular email.
08Your choices and rights
You can ask us to access, correct or delete the personal information you have given us through this website, or to stop contacting you. Depending on where you live, including Virginia and Maryland, you may have additional rights under state privacy law. To make a request, email info@echoandgo.com. We will respond within the time the law requires, and we won’t treat you differently for making a request.
Patients’ rights over their health records, such as getting a copy of a report, are described in our Notice of Privacy Practices.
09Children’s privacy
This website is meant for healthcare facilities, providers, patients and their families. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them through the website.
10Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Significant changes will be noted on the website.
